Why SmilePath Matters

One Plan. One Path. A Lifetime of Confident Smiles.

We guide your child's smile through SmilePath™, a clear, long-term plan so you always know what's happening, what's next, and why it matters. No guessing, no confusion, just a trusted team helping your child grow into a healthy, confident smile.

Always Know What Your Child Needs Next

Most parents don't feel fully confident about their child's dental health. They're asking themselves, "Is this normal? Should we be doing something now? Are we catching things early enough?" Most of the time, they're guessing, not because they don't care, but because no one has ever handed them a clear plan. SmilePath™ is that plan.

Timing Changes Everything

Dental problems rarely show up all at once. Jaw growth, bite alignment, crowding, and airway health all develop gradually, and catching them early is what keeps treatment simple. The difference isn't better dentistry. It's better timing, and timing is impossible to get right without a plan.

Financial Information

Let's Talk About the Financial Side

We'll help you make sense of your insurance benefits so there are no surprises. Because every plan is different, we encourage families to check with their provider ahead of time. Your estimated patient portion is due at the time of service.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SmilePath™?
Our age-based roadmap for guiding your child's dental development from their first tooth through young adulthood. It connects every visit into one long-term plan, so you always know where your child stands.
How is SmilePath™ different from a regular checkup?
A checkup tells you how your child's mouth looks today. SmilePath™ tells you how it's developing over time, so we can guide your child at the right time, often before you'd notice anything on your own.
What age does SmilePath™ start?
With your child's very first tooth, in Phase 1: Foundation, ages 0 to 7. It continues through five phases into young adulthood.
Will my child's plan stay the same across your locations?
Yes. Your child's SmilePath™ plan travels with them to any of our four Bay Area offices, and every team member works from that same plan.
What does SmilePath™ actually monitor?
Teeth, jaw growth, bite alignment, airway health, and long-term development, together, as one connected picture of your child's smile.
How often will we come in for visits?
Most families follow our standard 6-month recall schedule. Some phases, like Development between ages 8 and 12, may call for a little extra monitoring.
Is SmilePath™ an extra program I need to enroll in?
No. It's simply how we practice pediatric dentistry for every child, at every location, built into the visits you're already scheduling.
What happens if something's worth addressing?
Catching it during the right window usually means simpler, easier treatment. We'll walk you through what we're seeing and what we recommend next.
Does SmilePath™ include orthodontic evaluation?
Yes. Bite alignment and jaw growth are part of what we follow from an early age, so any orthodontic care fits right into your child's plan.
How do I know what phase my child is in?
It's based on their age and dental development. At every visit, we'll tell you exactly which phase they're in and what comes next.
